Dem, how about a trip without the car if it's your stag, easyjet to Italy trip round maserati and Ferrari factory plus panini museum and anything else anyone can think of, 1 night stay in hotel and back next day.

cant we have options of when to come and leave, so those without kids can do the 10 days thoseith can come when they can and mix with everyone, i too want 2 or 3 days as its costly what with vegas that year for my stag

Yeah certainly no reason why Kids cant come Dem , and agree there's certainly no reason why people cant join and leave the convoy as they see fit , thats the idea to be as flexible as possible , what with mobiles/internet now so easy to find out where and when to join

Just pondering a 10 day european tour next year , thinking of incorperating stay at Mouliherne for Lemans weekend , Spa circuit and 1 night stop over , down to Basel 1 night stopover and visit to schlumf museum (awesome ) through Switzerland and across the Alps route Davos to Stelvio or Bremmer pass 1/2 nights either Lake Garda /Lake Como from there destination Modena for either Maserati factory tour / Ferrari factory tour and including relevant museums , open to suggestions from here or variations but you get the idea anyone interested

Loz and All,

Just looked at the places mentioned in this post and can't say no to any of it and would be very interested in taking part!

Taking a good few days (10 mention) for the tour is an excellent idea and allows everyone to travel at their pace. Plus, agreeing that we will stop overnight/nights in certain towns/cities means we can travel at our own speed (Very fast!!!) only joking!

From my experiance of the two Mas trips in northern France and the Classic at Le Mans allowing everyone to travel at their own speed is great and takes the pressure off one person being the leader and navigator.

Have we agreed on any of the towns, routes, other suggestions on routes etc?

Can't wait already!

In a few weeks Paul i'll make some kind of table where we can add our 1st/2nd /3rd choice destinations to and then work something out from that , it'll be fun accomodating everyone but im sure we can do it , and totally agree by having several 1/2day stop overs gives people who aren't in covoy to catch or meet up , i would add that to do the Alpine Passes whether they be the san bernadino bremmer or stelvio , convoy would be the best especially for the video footage , it would create a good overall video by having cars at checkpoints along the way taking footage of the others encountering the hairpins and sounds in the tunnels , im grinning just contemplating it , believe me with a few of us we WILL get some awesome footage top gear stuff

Maybe Loz.......you might think of linking in with other Maserati forums as time goes by and see if they might like to join in for sections too?

The sportsmaserati pan-european tour?

For sure Frank , we have already had an offer from Maurizio (bigfoot ) now relocated to Milan , to try and engage the Italian forum to maybe meet us on the alpine passes , could easily let Luuk know from the dutch forum , and maybe the french aswell , we also now have details of the swiss forum and a few swiss members , they will certainly know where the best roads are certainly food for thought and one i will get to grips with this week when i have time

I mentioned a few pages back that the 3 must visit roads, Davos route to the Stelvio Pass, The Col De Turini (part of the monte carlo rally) and the San Bernadinho pass. I also mentioned that Corsica would be worth a look if you have time.

Found both the Davos road and St Bernadino to be full of tourists and bikers and in dreadful condition surface wise...to many petrol heads on them now due to Top Gear and the locals drive like they are imortal.

For me the Route from Grenoble to Nice was so much nicer, road was quiet, well surfaced and lots of sweeping corners and most of all chances to overtake the old lady in her 206.

all depends on the timing... early June will be quiet as the passes will be new open, plus depends on the time of day... if we can leave from each respective "base" first thing for the best roads, I reckon they'll be empty

Mont Ventoux is well worth a look too..... didn't drive it myself, seen the Petrolhead Nirvana video and it looks AWESOME :)
